This special Ethnic Celebra Necklace was made by the nomadic Tuareg Tribe in North Africa, Sahara Desert.
The legend of the Celebra Necklace recounts the story of a young woman who helped guide lost men and their camels through the desert between Bilma and Agadez. The legend says she wore an unusual necklace made of small pendants of geometric designs. Once the men had reached their destination, they told this miraculous story of their rescue to an artisan who created this style of necklace to commemorate this event.
The necklace and its individual pendants lies flush to the chest and are attached with black onyx beads with a metal clasp closure.
