Learning to create and maintain dreadlocks is more than just learning a hairstyle, it’s learning a craft.

Once you’ve mastered the techniques, you’ll have a skill that can travel with you. Whether you choose to build a business in your hometown, work from your own studio, visit clients, or travel and take bookings along the way, your knowledge goes wherever you do.

Many of my own experiences have shown me that dreadlocks connect people from all walks of life and all over the world. It’s a creative career that gives you the opportunity to meet incredible people while doing work you genuinely enjoy.

Your Learning Doesn’t End After Four Days

My support doesn’t stop when the course finishes.

After the course you’ll continue practising your new skills at home while receiving feedback and guidance from me.

To receive your CrafterElena Diploma of Completion, you’ll complete three practical assignments:

• Finish your mannequin dreadlocks
• Complete a full permanent installation
• Carry out a maintenance session

Once you’ve submitted your work and demonstrated your technique, you’ll receive your diploma and be ready to begin your journey as a professional loctician.

Hello everyone, I was a student of Elena’s. I am now a certified loctician after completing the professional loctician course in May 2024. I loved every minute of the course, I was made to feel welcome from start to finish. Elena only has a small number of students on the course which I loved because Elena was always there, watching and paying attention to every detail, correcting and praising us all throughout the course. You always felt, you had undivided attention, the help was always there when needed. It was fun and really enjoyable, it was exiting learning all the skills needed to make dreadlocks and to work on real life models. Elena is one, truly amazing teacher and was an inspiration to all of her students. The course has now sadly finished, but she is still there when needed, continuing to support us all, giving us guidance and advice as we are now newly trained certified locticians. If anyone is thinking of becoming a dreadlock artist then this is the course for you!
