Fluffy Dreadlocks? Here’s How to Tame Them! 🧚‍♀️

Are your new dreadlocks getting a bit too fluffy? Don’t worry—it’s totally normal for new dreads to loosen up at first. Here’s how to calm the madness:
.
1. Palm Rolling – Roll your dreadlocks every day for the first six months. This helps keep them neat, straight, and circular.
.
2. Regular Maintenance – See your loctician every 3–4 months. As a new dreadhead, you might need it sooner. Once your dreads mature, you might manage 6 months or even a year without maintenance—but for now, a little extra care goes a long way.
.
3. Get a Crochet Needle – A 0.75mm or 0.6mm crochet needle works well for maintenance. The goal is to tuck those loose hairs back into the dreadlock. (Good luck with that!)
.
4. Use Tightening Gel – Our Raw Roots Tightening Gel helps your dreadlocks mature faster while keeping them moisturised. Just palm roll a small amount into your damp dreads after a wash.
.

Tea tree oil is a game-changer! It helps soothe irritation and keeps your scalp fresh. Here’s how to make a simple itch-relief spray:

✨ You’ll need:
• A 100ml spray bottle
• Water (fill the bottle)
• 10 drops of tea tree oil

Shake well and spray directly on your roots. Instant relief!
